🥋 Upcoming Belt Grading – Saturday 6th June 2026 📌 Booking Deadline: Saturday 23rd May 2026

We are pleased to announce that the next Belt Grading will take place on Saturday, 6th June 2026.

Grading is a key milestone in every student's martial arts journey — an opportunity to demonstrate the progress, commitment, and discipline developed over the last term.

🏷️ Stripe (Tip) Testing Requirement (Warriors, Spartans only).

As part of our structured curriculum, all students should complete their required stripes before grading day.

Each stripe represents a core part of the Soo Bahk Do syllabus:

• 🟨🟩 Hyung (Forms) — Yellow / Green stripe
• ⚪ Il Soo Sik (1-Step Sparring) — White stripe
• 🔴 Sparring — Red stripe
• ⚫ Ho Sin Sool (Self Defence) — Black stripe

Stripe testing is run in class every day as part of regular training. This ensures students are well prepared, confident, and not under pressure on grading day.

If your child has not yet completed all stripes, their instructor will explain what remains. If you're unsure whether your child is ready, please speak with an instructor at Kilkeel, Warrenpoint, or Newry.

📝 How to Apply for Grading

All steps below must be completed no later than Saturday, 23rd May 2026.

🔹 Step 1 – Grading Form & Payment

📌 Important: Grading forms must be handed in physically to your instructor in class before the deadline. Online submission is not accepted.

⚠️ Full payment must be made at the time of submission. No paperwork will be accepted without payment.

Please return the completed form in a clearly marked envelope with the student's full name and federation number, no later than Saturday, 23rd May 2026.

Payment options (full payment only):

• 💷 Cash — placed inside the envelope with the form, or
• 📱 RFKC School App — secure online payment completed before handing in the form (please show or confirm payment to your instructor when submitting paperwork)

💷 Grading Fees:

• Mini Ninjas (ages 3–6): £30
• Warriors & Spartans (ages 7+): £40

❗ Forms received without full payment will not be processed, and no applications can be accepted after Saturday, 23rd May 2026. Please don't leave it to the last class — hand your form and payment in early to avoid disappointment.

🔹 Step 2 – Federation Membership

All students must hold a current membership with the UK & Ireland Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation to be eligible to grade.

This is separate from your school licence. Students with expired federation memberships will not be permitted to grade.

🔹 Step 3 – Uniform Standards

• Students must wear the official Robson's Family Karate Do Bohk (uniform)
• The current belt must be worn correctly
• Green & Red belts must have correct trims applied before grading

If a new uniform, belt, or trim is needed, please speak with your instructor as early as possible.

• ✔ Hand grading form to your instructor in class by Saturday, 23rd May 2026 (no online submission)
• ✔ Pay in full at time of submission — Cash in the envelope or via the RFKC School App (no paperwork accepted without payment)
• ✔ Confirm Federation Membership is active
• ✔ Check uniform meets grading standards
• ✔ Ensure all required stripes are completed
